Our Northeast Engineering Design Organization (EDO) office is looking for a Civil Designer to join the team! In this role, you will generate design drawings specific to wastewater/water facilities and horizontal infrastructure design projects.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Prepare detailed design drawings for grading and site development, utility piping, process piping and chemical feed system layouts of moderate to advanced complexity, including developing alignments, profiles, cross sections and details
Perform volume/quantity calculations as required for horizontal infrastructure projects such as force mains, storm/sanitary sewers and water pipelines
Prepare detailed design drawings based on self-directed design and engineering mark-ups that adhere to related specifications while using basic knowledge of relevant design and drafting principles
Fulfill various fieldwork requirements, including site surveys, asset condition assessment and construction observations, if needed
Coordinate with various design teams including architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC and plumbing
Operate as a CAD manager on multidiscipline projects coordinating project set-up, chartering documents, and maintain designer team schedules
Mentor junior team members and assist in the regional training activities
What you will bring to the team:
Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Technology or other Engineering/Science field
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in site-civil / water & wastewater / storm water / erosion & sediment control design
Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D
Revit, Civil HydroCAD and TR-55 experience a plus
Must have an understanding of survey fundamentals
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
