Join Meta's Wearable Silicon AMS team as a Digital Mixed Signal Design Engineer and work alongside world-class researchers and engineers to develop cutting-edge AMS IP's and IC's. You will use your digital design skills to implement and optimize state-of-the-art AMS IP's, while also supporting the development of next-gen custom mixed signal IC's for our industry-leading virtual and augmented reality systems.
Digital Mixed Signal Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Collaborate with AMS architects to define micro-architecture of digital mixed signal IC
Develop micro architecture and implementation of digital controllers and interfaces for analog mixed signal IP's
Develop and maintain design documentation, including block diagrams, timing diagrams, and design specifications
Work with verification team to develop testbenches, test plans, and test cases to ensure design functionality and quality
Create timing constraints, UPF files, and other collateral for hand-off to physical design
Perform RTL power analysis and optimization to meet low power requirements
Support test program development, chip validation, and chip life until production maturity
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of micro architecture and digital design experience
Experience with mixed signal control loops (e.g., ADC controller, digital PLL)
Proficiency in RTL coding, synthesis, and chip integration
Experience integrating analog mixed signal IP
Experience with front end EDA tools such as Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, Spyglass or equivalent
Familiarity with at least one procedural programming language (C, C++, Python, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master or PhD degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Familiarity with UVM methodology
Experience with low power design and optimization, including UPF
Digital signal processing experience
Familiarity with common on-chip bus protocols (AMBA AXI/AHB/APB, OCP) and serial protocols (I2C/SPI)
About Meta:
Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses. When Facebook launched in 2004, it changed the way people connect. Apps like Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp further empowered billions around the world. Now, Meta is moving beyond 2D screens toward immersive experiences like augmented and virtual reality to help build the next evolution in social technology. People who choose to build their careers by building with us at Meta help shape a future that will take us beyond what digital connection makes possible today-beyond the constraints of screens, the limits of distance, and even the rules of physics.
