Job Summary
This position is responsible for the strategic leadership of Enrollment Services at IU East by providing leadership and coordination of student recruitment, retention, and support initiatives within the context of the Campus Strategic Plan.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Oversees the administration of and coordination among the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Registrar.
Develops a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan, encompassing the crucial functions of student recruitment and retention.
Assures effective and efficient delivery of enrollment services in line with institutional goals, policies, and professional standards.
Serves as a member of the IU East collaborative leadership team, providing key perspectives and counsel for area(s) of responsibility.
Serves on campus committees and as needed represent the campus to various and diverse individuals and groups, which at times may include community business and civic leaders.
Collaborates with the Director of Financial Aid to ensure that institutional financial aid resources meet the needs of both new and continuing students.
Collects and processes data; interpret and generate statistical reports; monitor enrollment and admissions activity with responsibility for achieving key metrics as identified by executive administration; provide operational reports as required.
Serves as the senior campus liaison to the IU Offices of Enrollment Management and Student Success.
Supervises and monitors the staff and budgets for assigned departments; review and make recommendations for expenditures; implement personnel actions as required.
General Responsibilities
Provides highest level of operational leadership and coordination of assigned staff members to define enrollment management methodologies and standards; provides direction and guidance on high priority enrollment management projects/initiatives.
Establishes short-term business plans and long-term operational objectives, including managing project timelines/deliverables and developing resource plans for multi-project/multi-phase enrollment management initiatives.
Conducts a variety of personnel actions to include, but not limited to hiring, promotion, performance management, and dismissal.
Manages high level assignments and allocation of enrollment management resources, including negotiating and coordinating initiatives that involve staff in other departments/areas/teams; may coordinate large-scale enrollment management projects with a wide audiences in support of academic initiatives.
Makes budgetary recommendations/proposals based on resource needs and ensures cost containment.
Researches and stays up-to-date on new industry enrollment management standards, technologies, policies, and procedures; responsible for the implementation of new protocols/procedures to address business needs.
Works collaboratively with other enrollment management leaders across departments in recommending standards, best practices, and related policies/procedures.
Prepares management reports and summaries for senior administration, executive, steering and advisory committees; acts as advisor to executive committees; serves on various university committees, communities of practice, and task forces related to enrollment management.
Qualifications
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, or a related field.
Preferred
Advanced degree.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
8 years of experience in higher education administrative areas of admissions, registrar, and/or financial aid with demonstrated accomplishment of leadership in progressively more responsible levels.
Leadership experience in organizational and fiscal management including planning, developing, and evaluating programs and personnel.
Preferred
Leadership experience in a 4-year college or university.
Experience in enrollment management.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Preferred
Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) or Endorsement Program (SEM-EP) from American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$80,000 - $95,000 per year based on experience.
