Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Month-End and Year-End Close: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring that financial records are accurately closed and financial reporting requirements are met. Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries to record financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards. Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain organized and detailed financial records, including supporting documentation for journal entries and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting Support: Collaborate with the accounting team to provide accurate and comprehensive data for the preparation of company financial statements.
Fixed Asset Accounting: Assist in recording of acquisitions, disposals and depreciation. Maintain accurate records and perform reconciliations.
Internal Controls: Comply with established internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and mitigate risks.
Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows and automate manual tasks within the financial reporting and accounting functions. Leverage technology solutions to drive process optimization, improve accuracy, and reduce cycle times.
Qualifications
Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Proven experience in financial reporting and accounting roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency in corporate accounting and internal controls.
1-5 years of experience in a related position preferred.
Proficient use of SAP financial system preferred.
I ntermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Attention to detail for financial data entry, reconciliations and documentation at the foundational level.
Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate within the accounting team.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and absorb new information about accounting principles and processes and flourish in a collaborative team environment.
