Key Responsibilities and Duties
Perform Employee Services responsibilities at the plant, to include but not limited to:
Initiate and ensure completion of candidate/new hire assessments, background screenings and e-verify documents.
Set up & maintain employee Workday files and associated documents in Workday
Maintain employee vacation requests and training records in Workday
Act as liaison between employee and plant/upper management
Perform new hire orientation and on-boarding
Perform new hire, random, and specific issue drug testing
Maintain employee worker documents in Workday for all other areas, such as discipline, MVR reports, special payroll items, confidentiality agreements, consent forms and other documents as needed
Assist with preparing corrective actions and maintaining attendance points for hourly employees
Ongoing recruiting of talent and open positions
Build local relationships in community to source best talent and build pipeline
Attend local career fairs/community/network events to raise awareness of Ring opportunities
Manage job postings on company approved resources
Manage candidates through the recruiting/onboarding process
Maintain Payroll records
Submit bi-weekly time cards to payroll through Workday
Maintain employee attendance points and accrued hours
Manage temp agency relationships and ensure proper background checks and drug screens are completed on all temporary employees on premise
Manage temporary labor onboarding and time tracking
Provide ES with all temporary agency contracts
File and manage worker's comp claim process for the facility
Contact Employee Services of any injury or illness reported by employee
File first report of injury into worker's comp system
Maintain contact with employee throughout leave and update status to Employee Services
Coordinate all written communication with injured employee
Provide employee with instructions on maintaining communication with plant and worker's comp provider before and during treatment

Promotes company Wellness program (create/coordinate events, purchase healthy snacks for employees etc.)
Assist Plant management in coordinating employee training.
Support ERP and EAM system needs as designated by the Plant Manager
May be responsible for entering or maintaining shipping, receiving or production records in ERP system
May be responsible for entering or approving purchasing, receiving or invoice records in EAM system
Answer telephone and greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner consistent with Ring Container Technologies standards
May communicate with customers on requests, complaints, or order changes
Direct calls to appropriate individuals, take/relay accurate messages, and screen calls when necessary
Maintain visitor log and call log
Greet applicants and follow Ring recruiting practices
Maintain confidentiality agreement files; ensuring all new and returning visitors sign agreement on an annual basis
Fully support the administrative needs of the plant management team
Maintain sufficient office supply and cleaning supply levels
Coordinate purchase needs with all staff members
Maintain all supply purchases within assigned budget
Maintain housekeeping in front office, storage closets, break room and restrooms
Schedule and coordinate plant programs, including but not limited to hearing tests, training, picnics, community events
Assist with travel for employees participating in events outside of normal plant operations
Assist in preparing presentations and other communications as needed to support management team
Maintain petty cash fund, balances and file reports to headquarters
Complete UPS and Federal Express records for shipment
Forward delivery receipts and approved invoices to headquarters for timely arrival
Attend all training and meetings designated for the Office Manager position
Support the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of food safety, food defense, and quality systems to ensure compliance with third-party food safety standard guidelines
Support, promote and implement the safety initiatives within the plant to meet the safety mission and culture defined by Ring Container Technologies
Coordinate safety training with the safety champion in the plant; may be designated as the safety champion in the plant
Maintain all safety documentation associated with training, injuries, near miss, investigations and meeting minutes
Follow Ring Container Technologies Incident Investigation and Reporting Procedures
Coordinate medical evaluation for injured employee at an occupational health clinic
Administer and support all OSHA related and required activities performed at the plan as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a general job description, and each plant will have additional duties and responsibilities that will be added by the plant manager.
Experience, Educational and Technical Qualifications
Our Office Manager must be a self-motivated individual with 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role. Associates Degree and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. He/she must possess good oral and written communication skills and be able the read, write and understand English to produce professional correspondence and handle customer service requests. The candidate must possess the ability to work well under pressure and be able to coordinate numerous activities. She/he should exhibit a sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self-motivation and the desire and focus to improve the business. Our Office Manager must be well trained in computer software such as: ERP, EAM, PowerPoint, MS Office and NWA Quality Analyst.
