Responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment Position Requirements
Ø Diagnoses and repairs vehicles, heavy equipment and other company property.
Ø Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment.
Ø Assists with semi-complex engine overhauls.
Ø Reads manuals, charts, schematics, and blueprints.
Ø Completes and maintains accurate paperwork and records necessary to insure parts and time are allocated to the correct equipment.
Ø Works in other areas as needed.
Ø Maintains proper housekeeping in and around the shop area.
Ø Training and/or demonstrated experience in heavy equipment/diesel repair.
Ø Valid driver's license
Ø Understanding of both OSHA and EPA standards as they relate to the position and performance of the job.
Ø Ability to read manuals, charts, schematics, and blueprints.
Ø Owns tools and maintains them in safe working condition.
Ø Ability to follow written and oral instructions and/or direction
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds - (High Physical Demand Level per DOL
Must meet and maintain certification for use of respiratory protective equipment as required by OSHA 1910.13 4
Demonstrated aptitude to execute customer orders and maintain necessary records
Must have the ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
Requires work in all types of weather conditions
Must be available to work all shifts and weekends including 12 hours shifts Must be available for assignments at other Charleston, SC locations located within a 20 mile radius
Must be able to secure and maintain Transpertation Worker Identification Credential (TWICS)
