SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT:
The Communications Intern will conduct several valuable projects for the Public Affairs Department, focused content analysis alignment with department and Bank goals for external communications:
Conduct audience research and create reports to help determine the audience viewership of the Federal Reserve of Atlanta’s content published on the atlantafed.org website, social media channels, mailing lists and other communication channels.
Create templates and assist with mid-year review of content quality and measurement against department goals for content in 2025. May conduct research into best practices for showing progress against communications goals.
Participate in communications campaigns, including those for events, web publications, data tools, etc.
Assist in communications project planning using project management tools (Asana) and Microsoft Office tools like Planner and Teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum cumulative GPA above 3.0 in academically rigorous curriculum.
Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.
Knowledge of SEO and audience research
PREFERRED MAJORS:
Communications
Marketing
Digital Marketing
Industrial Engineering or Data Science
CORE COMPETENCIES:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
· Strong analytical skills
· Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
· Great work ethic and detail oriented
· Comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner
