SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT:

The primary role of our summer 2025 will be to assist the Atlanta Fed archivist with the processing of a digital collection, from start to finish. This will involve all steps of the digital preservation process including ingestion into Preservica.

A secondary project will be to assist our knowledge management specialist with metadata projects related to our digital research output, as well as cataloging older, print materials in collaboration with the archivist. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program through the duration of the internship.




• Minimum cumulative GPA above 3.0 in academically rigorous curriculum.




• Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.

PREFERRED MAJORS:

Preference for graduate level students in the following majors

• Archival Science




• Information Science




• Library Science




• History

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite




• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)




• Strong analytical skills




• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects




• Great work ethic and detail oriented




• Comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner
