How you will contribute to LifeNet Healths success:
The Donor Family Advocate coordinates LifeNet Healths donor family bereavement support program. The incumbent extends grief education and support to bereaved donor family members. Provides community resources, develops/delivers grief workshops and special events, provides education to healthcare professionals, facilitates advisory committees and regularly interacts with donor families throughout the community. The incumbent must assess the needs of each individual and act accordingly to support them, exemplifying the mission, attributes and values of LifeNet Health on a continuous basis.
What youll do:
Bereavement Support: Communicates with bereaved donor family members to promote healing following the death of a loved one through assessment of the situation utilizing telephone calls and personal contact so to provide appropriate and timely listening and suggestions for follow-up. Collaborates with other local professionals.
Event Coordination: Plans and implements regular donor recognition ceremonies, donor family events, and workshops to remember donors and honor their family using comprehensive knowledge of grief and loss, program management skills and knowledge of community resources. : Facilitates quarterly meeting of the Donor Family Advisory Committee to communicate ideas and seek feedback by developing stimulating agenda items, planning meeting logistics, directing flow of meeting, coordinating minutes, and leads follow through.
Customer Service: Researches the disposition of donor gifts of organs and/or tissue upon request of the donor family by accessing appropriate information databases and provides accurate verbal and/or written responses in a timely and sensitive manner.
Communication: Develops ideas for quarterly donor family newsletter articles in order to serve information needs of bereaved families and drafts articles using effective business writing technique.
What youll bring (Minimum Requirements):
Required:
Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Counseling, Pastoral or related field
Valid Driver License
3 years related work experience Social sciences, Psychology, Counseling, Pastoral or related field
Preferred:
Masters degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Counseling, Pastoral or related field
5 years experience working with grief and loss
Certification of Thanatology, CTBS Certificate

Time Management: Able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple time sensitive projects, multi-task, identify project interdependencies and potential risks/pitfalls.
Attention to detail: Able to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work to ensure high degree of accuracy/completeness and early/on-time delivery
Proficient in MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Suite

SALARY: $62,348 - $103,913
*Washington state law requires pay information in job postings. The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate's qualifications and prior experience. The pay range for this position in Renton, WA is $62,348 annually (entry-level qualifications) to $103,913 annually (experienced in this role)
This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
