Job Description:

Primary Function


Under general supervision, performs assignments of limited scope which require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related tasks.  This includes limited experience in utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design tools.


Primary Duties



  • Assists with preparing plans, details, standard specifications and front-end contract documents

  • Assists with material quantity take-off and cost estimates, including coordination with vendors to obtain budgetary quotes and extracting unit prices from project bid tab records

  • Assists in preparation of technical specifications

  • Assists in the preparation and edits of project exhibits and design drawings within defined limits

  • Assists with preparing technical memorandum or project engineering reports

  • Performs site visits, field tests & measurements, collects field data and processes data

  • Provides miscellaneous task assignment to support project team

  • Performs design calculations in accordance with industry design standards and regulatory requirements

  • Attend meetings with Project leadership, take notes and prepare meeting minutes


Education and Experience Requirements



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering 

  • No experience is required

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

  • Team-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work with a team of professionals and independently.  Accountable to your team for completing assigned tasks.

  • Passion and desire for learning, taking on new challenges, and for providing the best possible service to our clients

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Project and Outlook.  Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
