Purpose/Introduction
Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking an I&E Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our plant in Port Arthur, Texas. #HPCP
Responsibilities
Demonstrates general knowledge of and ability to apply industry/company standards and reliability practices to equipment
Performs basic maintenance and reliability engineering analysis and calculations
Develops relationships and outside resources for asset integrity and reliability issues
Effectively implements facility reliability procedures and guidelines
Demonstrates competency utilizing preventative and predictive maintenance, and time-based and condition- based reliability methods and techniques
Leads Root Cause Analysis associated with simple and moderately complex equipment-related failures
Utilizes Key Performance Indicators/Metrics associated with reliability performance to identify reliability improvement opportunities
Identifies and improves performance of moderately complex reliability issues
Leads asset integrity or reliability process improvement activities for simple and moderately complex equipment

Demonstrates general knowledge and understanding of which and how statistical tools can be used to analyze data and reach logical conclusions
Develops reliability plans, preventative maintenance programs, and repair specifications to minimize recurring performance problems on simple or moderately complex equipment. (i.e., inspection strategy, mechanical integrity covered equipment inspection frequencies, equipment overhaul scope)
Demonstrates competency in of use of computerized maintenance management systems (i.e., SAP, Meridium, AcSELerator, Enervista, etc.)
Influential as member of cross-functional team, including capital projects, in developing asset integrity/reliability improvement solutions
Demonstrates ability to interact and develop relationships with industry suppliers to assist in work execution and asset integrity/reliability solutions
Collaborates with industry suppliers to improve equipment design, application, or installation with impact on equipment reliability
Supports immediate maintenance and reliability request from production units
Offers technical expertise for equipment and reliability driven MOC's
Supports the execution of the inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance program
Provides technical support for outages and turnaround
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degreein Electrical Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in the petrochemical, chemical and/or manufacturing industry
At least 1 years of reliability or maintenance experience
Basic understanding of performance and assessment tools such as RCA, FMEA, MTBR, 5-Why/Why Tree, or others
Knowledgeable of instrument and electrical operation, repair techniques, and design standards and specifications
A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize work to align with goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven leadership and administrative abilities
Understanding of safety issues in a hazardous environment
Ability to establish respectful relationships with team members at all levels
Ability to meet deadlines
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of SAP, Meridium
Strong foundation of instrument and electrical troubleshooting
