SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Systems Administrator.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP's Training Systems business area is currently looking for a Systems Engineer. A Systems Engineer, also known as leadsystems analyst, a network engineer who can also program, or a softwareengineer who can also manage networks, is an IT professional who oversees theconfiguration of operating systems as related to hardware architecture frominitial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. These products areoften sophisticated systems consisting of multiple operating systems, virtualmachines and containers.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Responsible to integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices.
Managing the development cycle associated with producing a resilient software, hardware and applications. Including: specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
Responsible for updating andmaintaining computer systems and networks with software and security patchesand evaluating application impact.
The target systems include Linux Red Hat/CentOSand Windows systems hosted within Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM)environment.
Maintain the networkarchitecture including Cisco Virtual Lan’s.
Identify hardware and softwarefaults and develop corrections.
Will have minor responsibilities withdeveloping and maintaining Hardware & Software Inventory, InstallationProcedures, and Post installation procedures to provide work-arounds whenrequired.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
Significant operating system knowledge and experienceconfiguring and administering systems. This includes experience managingVirtual Machines. Candidate should be able to develop procedures not justfollow them.
Strong written and verbal communication skills,organization skills, and team interaction skills to support softwaredevelopers, integrators, project leads, and logistics staff.
IAT Level II or better certification such as Security+and ability to earn Compute environment certification such as Red Hat,Microsoft, Cisco.
Candidate will be asked to work within configurationmanagement development architectures such as Gitlab.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
