Position Summary	La Salle University’s Natural Sciences department has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach introductory microbiology lecture and laboratory classes for first-year nursing majors and pre-health majors. These courses are generally offered in person, in the daytime or evenings. For more information about the Biology department, please visit https://www.lasalle.edu/biology
Essential Duties	• Teach assigned course(s). • Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives. • Provide timely grading and feedback to students. • Provide guidance and support to students.
Required Qualifications	Master’s or PhD degree in a biology, microbiology, or related field. A Master’s or terminal degree in related degree in a field related to microbiology (MD, DO, etc) will also be considered. Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications	Experience or desire for teaching introductory biology and/or microbiology courses, particularly at the college-level. Knowledge or experience teaching anatomy and physiology laboratory courses.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours	The job requires the ability to teach lecture or lab sections of microbiology. The job requires movement around the classroom or laboratory. It may be necessary for the position to teach an evening class of microbiology.
