Utilize the predictive maintenance diagnostic tools and procedures provided, interpreting and documenting results. Taking appropriate measures to prevent failure.

Service, repair, debug, and document industrial control, instrumentation, motion control and robotic systems; using reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance strategies.
*
Troubleshoot automation, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, circuit analysis, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics
*
Required to learn, use and maintain Sargento MES and CMMS systems to provide data insight and analysis to provide recommendations on key initiatives to improve overall process. This would include identifying bottlenecks, improving downtime along with other opportunities.
*
Diagnoses equipment, processes to improve reliability; performs tests and recommends improvements. Understands the sequence of operations to reference the PLC.
*
Optimize performance of automated, inspection, and robotic equipment.
*
Development and implementation of process control procedures for automation
*
Tests electrical systems within conformance of functional specifications and design requirements.
*
Work closely with internal customers (e.g. Manufacturing Facilities, R&D, Quality, Packaging, Warehouse, Logistics, etc.) to support them in the accomplishment of their goals and objectives.
*
Promotes necessary on the job training, coaching, and evaluation to further develop technicians technical skill set; emphasizing safety.
*
Mentors and assists in the development of Sargento apprentices and new Maintenance hires on automation related activities.
*
Design, develop, and manage small capital projects; under the direction of supervisor.
*
Supports new product commercialization and helps determines equipment needs.
*
Integrate robotics with peripherals, such as mechanical or pneumatic case picking heads, controllers, or other equipment.
*
Write algorithms or programming code for robotic applications.
*
Ability to maintain and support all systems and subsystems of plant automated processes and systems.
*
Proficiency in the removal/replacement, reloading of software parameters, calibration and/or tuning of all major plant automation and electronic systems.
*
Travel will be required as necessary.
*
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or plant engineer.
*
Fully assists in making patent applications as well as refraining from disclosing inventions or ideas to others unless requested to do so by Sargento, and assigns any and all rights to Sargento.
*Your Education and Experience. *
* Associate's degree in Automation Engineering Technology, Automation Robotics Engineering Technology, Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology or equivalent education in a relevant & related technical field required. Additional educational courses will be required as needed to sustain departmental/individual technological levels.
* Preferred certifications in Rockwell and Fanuc.
