Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Senior Agile Development Manager within our team. This role offers remote work opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Identify and address skill gaps within the team, providing training and development opportunities.
Agile Methodology Implementation:
Champion Agile practices and principles within the development team.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
Ensure the team adheres to Agile processes and continuously improves their practices.
Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of development projects.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders.
Technical Oversight:
Provide technical guidance and support to the development team.
Ensure the team follows best practices in software development, coding standards, and testing.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of technical solutions.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, QA, and UX/UI.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
12 + years of Experience:
Proven experience as a Development Manager or similar role.
Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Strong background in software development and technical leadership.
Experience managing and mentoring development teams.
Skills:
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
Proficiency in project management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
Experience with Vue.js.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
Proficiency in Node.js.
Experience with Integrated Tax systems.
The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $137,900 to $234,000. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. This position is classified as exempt.
