Key Responsibilities:
The Paraplanner/ Jr. Advisor plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to the advisory team, ensuring effective financial planning and exceptional client service. This position requires a very organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who excels in managing tasks, analyzing financial strategies, and maintaining client and prospective client relationships. The role encompasses a blend of client care and business management responsibilities, with a focus on adhering to high standards of ethics and regulatory requirements.
Client Care & Business Management
Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the financial planning process, addressing queries and providing information as needed.
Review and update client information for meetings
Manage and resolve client service issues promptly and effectively based on advisor instructions.
Prepare client deliverables and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Stay current on financial planning trends and regulatory changes.
Client Meeting Coordination & Support
Stay updated on client meetings, advisor priorities, and project timelines.
Prepare initial sales reports, illustrations, and preliminary recommendation drafts for prospective client's first meeting with Advisors.
Organize and maintain physical and digital prospect and client files
Provide administrative support needed to ensure Advisor notes are documented properly, and follow-up tasks are completed.
Translate discussions from client and planning meetings into actionable strategies for data collection and analysis.
General Responsibilities

Support compliance within the advisor's practice and follow all legal and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, effective communication skills, and a willingness to continually learn and grow.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced certifications or designations are a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial planning industry, with a strong background as a paraplanner, servicing advisor, or financial advisor assistant.
VA Life & Health Insurance Licenses are required.
Series 65 preferred.
Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., Orion) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a polite phone manner.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving.
Effective time management and task prioritization.
Ability to anticipate and address client needs.
Adherence to rules and regulations, with a focus on compliance and ethical practices.
This position is dynamic and may evolve to meet the needs of the practice, with additional responsibilities assigned as necessary. Work hours are 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. Must be available to work occasional evening hours to support our educational workshops, as needed.
