Global womenswear brand, Naked Wardrobe, is looking for an exceptional Director of Product Development to join our fast paced team. We are seeking a highly talented individual to collaborate with our Director of Sourcing & Development while being an integral part of our dynamic team as we come together to shape the future of fashion!
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Sourcing & Development Director in developing apparel and accessories in line with Naked Wardrobe's aesthetic
Collaborate with various teams and vendors to ensure deadlines are met and goals are achieved
Manage product development and sourcing of finished goods
Identify and onboard new vendors
Drive cost negotiations effectively
Utilize critical thinking skills for informed decisions
Establish new processes to enhance productivity and efficiency
Lead problem-solving efforts for product development challenges
Review prototypes for accuracy in fabric, color, quality, and workmanship
Attend fit sessions to provide style-related feedback, cost, and timeline information
Manage email communications and vendor interactions efficiently
Maintain accurate communication and tracking with vendors
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Textile, Apparel Design or Product Development
Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in apparel product development
Passion for fashion with a strong understanding of fabric, fit, and function
Demonstrate expertise in materials and techniques such as knits, wovens, denim, seamless, and full fashion knits
Experience in import development is essential
Prior experience in women's apparel product development is required
Proficient in garment construction and patternmaking techniques
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (CLO experience is a plus)
Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Proactive and independent with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Team player who excels in a fast-paced environment while embracing efficiency and technology
