Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Manager at Gilman Precision in Grafton, WI. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, managing budgets, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role involves collaborating with other departments and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:
(a) Financial Planning & Reporting:
Develop and manage financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Prepare capital expenditure reasoning and plans.
Provide analysis of financial data, including variances against forecasts and budgets.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and capital expenditure requirements.
Monitor and optimize working capital.
Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
(b) Proposal Management & Compliance:
Support customer job proposals/quoting by analyzing costs and revenues to ensure profitability.
Track job progress and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective measures are in place.
Support accounting functions with work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, revenue recognition, and contract management
Negotiate financial terms with customers and vendors when necessary.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Support quality function (ISO standards)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
5-10 years of experience in a financial management role within the manufacturing industry
Proficiency in financial software and/or ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
