Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager is a crucial role in AVW's manufacturing operations. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for efficiently managing all AVW inventory, managing vendor relationships and ensuring AVW is purchasing the best product for the best price.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership: Manage and mentor purchasing team, providing guidance and support to foster professional development.
Strong Purchasing Foundation: Possess a comprehensive understanding of purchasing fundamentals such as negotiating, managing contracts, supply chain management and stock.
Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals.
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationship with suppliers; negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and quality.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment and minimize stock shortages or excess.
Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, pricing, and new suppliers, ensuring competitive sourcing.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, production, and accounting, to understanding purchasing needs and align with operational requirements
Cost Control: Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices for procurement efficiency.
Qualification / Requirements:
Strong Purchasing Foundation. Must have a deep understanding of purchasing principles, negotiating skills and
Minimum 2+ years' management experience in Supply Chain Management
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Preferred Master's degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field.
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
