Golden Hour Wine Bar and Social Club is seeking an experienced, passionate, and personable General Manager to lead our team. We are building an intimate, sophisticated atmosphere dedicated to the connectivity of wine, friendship, and music, offering sensory discovery through a full, seasonal, and extensive selection of wine by the glass and bottle, rotating cocktails, and small plates.

The General Manager is responsible for managing all Front-of-House functions of the restaurant and all financial concerns of the restaurant. Key responsibilities include continued training for a small but passionate team, managing and disciplining restaurant and management team members, running day to day operations, and reporting daily and weekly sales numbers to the owners. The General Manager will also be the heart and soul of Golden Hour - we are seeking someone who is passionate about hospitality, wine, and people.
The General Manager must spend significant time performing managerial duties and must regularly exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of consequence to the restaurant. The General Manager is also responsible for achieving operational and sales goals for the restaurant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial
Participate in creation of yearly budget in alignment with partners' goals
Conduct monthly financial reviews with partners
Manage all expenses to budget
Generate needed reports in coordination with Accounting department
Meet and exceed yearly revenue targets on an annual basis
Create yearly capital expenditures report
Service
Lead management and line teams towards the vision of hospitality excellence
Connect with VIPs and regular guests to assist with reservations and special events
Ensure all guest disputes are resolved positively and professionally
Lead the service team 5 services a week with a minimum 40 hour work week
Maintain the curation and execution of thoughtful and interesting playlists
Training
Maintain comprehensive level of product knowledge amongst all staff
Continue wine education with staff and attend trips to various wineries to taste new products with owners
Communicate company's values and objectives to all staff
Develop and mentor management; setting yearly goals, conduct reviews, and provide constructive feedback
Property Management
Ensure the restaurant's cleanliness
Coordinate Repairs and regular maintenance
Maintaining grounds and exterior
Coordinate with ListenUp to service and maintain
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 years fine dining / bar management experience
Proficiency with Margin Edge
Proficiency in toast, 7shifts, tock
Certified Sommelier preferred, but if not we are seeking someone with global wine knowledge, and focused on wine service with its relation to hospitality.
Professional and confident verbal and written communication.
Strong ability to multitask
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly and safely
Prolonged periods of time standing up
Must be able to lift 30 pounds at time
Ability to adhere to health and safety standards
