As the VP, Marketing for Big Loud Rock,you'll lead the planning, direction, execution and monitoring of marketing campaigns for our growing roster of rock artists. As the Vice President, you'll plan, direct, organize, execute and control artist campaigns, defining the positioning of the artist and developing the artist's story. In this role, you'll provide comprehensive communication and coordination internally and externally to keep projects moving forward while maintaining the overall artist message and brand.
What you'll do:
Develop and execute frontline album release marketing plans with a concentration on consumer-driven marketing.
Collaborate across label departments to generate initiatives that support the label releases and projects
Act as primary liaison between artist and label, maintaining awareness of communication any artist issues, plans, sensitivities, etc. to the team while also diplomatically representing the label's interests to the artist.
Communicate status of, and issues relating to, album releases to executives and all departments company wide.
Consistently analyze results of marketing efforts as well as any other appropriate contextual market conditions; identify key opportunities and communicated these to the team.
Partner with artists, managers, and marketing team to create, maintain, and evolve artist brands
Build knowledge of each artist and their management team's processes, goals, and overall efforts in to maintain a cohesive and effective working relationship
Generate timelines and budgets of project needs and key dates/deadlines with all departments and oversee the timely delivery of those needs
Ownership of project ideation and lead the development of creative concepts and initiatives for the Big Loud Rock roster of artists.
Coordinate artist appearances (publicity, radio, in stores) with internal departments as well as artists and any outside vendors (travel, equipment, etc.) ensuring that both the artists' and the label's needs are met.
Oversee the creation and timely delivery of all production elements and tools required for album releases.
Secure strategic marketing placements and opportunities with outside corporate and entertainment partners.
Understand the demographics that comprise artists' fan bases and, based on the assets delivered by artists, develop product suites to increase revenue streams.
Create and coordinate special events in conjunction with album releases, specific tour dates, and other special events
Manage, mentor and inspire junior staff
What you have:
Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of marketing and/or product management experience at a record label
Project Management experience at a previous music label
Excellent knowledge of all departments within a label, including: Digital, Publicity, A&R, creative, production and promotion
Superior communication and teamwork skills; Creativity and willingness to think outside the box
Experience breaking new artists with a keen understanding of current market conditions, trends and best practices.
