Job Overview

We are a growing heavy marine construction contractor seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of construction processes and construction equipment, as well as the ability to coordinate effectively with team members.

The geographic range of our projects extend to Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and the Pacific Islands. This position will require travel to project sites for extended durations, occasionally in very remote locations. All travel, housing, and living expenses are paid by the company. Salary uplift is provided when working extended hours out of town.

Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion.

- Develop project schedules and ensure timely execution of tasks.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Utilize Civil 3D AutoCAD software for design and project planning.

- Perform field engineering duties such as surveying and quality management.

- Prepare and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

- Conduct construction estimating to determine project costs, Utilizing Heavy Bid software.

- Maintain thorough documentation.

- Work with engineers, and other professionals to ensure project alignment.

- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise during construction.

- Implement effective time management strategies to optimize workflow.

- Assist with equipment fleet management.

- Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience within the construction industry and/or the maritime industry.

- Knowledge of heavy equipment and machinery is preferred.

- Survey knowledge strongly preferred.

- Knowledge of contract management and compliance.

- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.

- Familiarity with Civil 3D / AutoCAD software is preferred.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in estimating and scheduling.

- Ability to work in a team environment while maintaining strong communication skills.

- Valid Driver's License and Passport

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
