We are seeking a Senior Architect to join our Palm Beach, Florida team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architectural design, project leadership, and client engagement. As a Senior Architect at Northworks, you will lead major projects across all phases of the design and construction process, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to firm-wide initiatives. You will collaborate with our talented team of architects and designers in Palm Beach and across our national studios, while working closely with design teams of varying sizes to ensure successful outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee the design and execution of complex architectural projects from concept through construction completion.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment with project goals.
Develop and present high-level design proposals, renderings, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Manage and monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring project objectives are met.
Conduct site visits and oversee all phases of construction administration to ensure design integrity and quality.
Collaborate closely with design teams of 1-3 architects or designers to generate innovative solutions and ensure cohesive design execution.
Foster a culture of collaboration, actively participating in team brainstorming sessions and sharing knowledge across project teams.
Support team members in navigating challenges, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment with the project's overall vision.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and designers, fostering their professional growth and technical development.
Contribute to firm-wide initiatives by sharing best practices and participating in studio-wide knowledge-sharing efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
5-8 years of experience in architectural design, project management, and leadership roles.
Architectural license is required.
Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard design tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage diverse project types, including residential, commercial, and hospitality.
Strong communication, organizational, and client relationship management skills.
In-depth knowledge of design practices, building codes, and regulations.
Ability to work in an in-person office setting.
