Financial Planner - John Moore Associates (JMA)

Are you passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals through values-based planning? John Moore Associates (JMA) is a Christian faith-based registered investment advisor seeking a dedicated Financial Planner to join our team. The Financial Planner will serve as the primary contact for clients, providing financial planning, personalized service, and investment advice. In this role, you will also contribute to business development by representing JMA within the community and welcoming new clients onboard.

Key Responsibilities:

- Client Engagement: Lead the client onboarding process, building strong relationships with new clients rooted in trust and shared values.

- Financial Planning: Gather, analyze, and input client data to construct tailored financial plans that align with their personal and faith-based goals.

- Client Meetings: Prepare for and lead client review meetings, taking detailed notes, managing follow-ups, and executing necessary action items.

- Client Communication: Address client questions and concerns via in-person meetings, phone conversations, and email communication, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and care.

- Service Coordination: Communicate and delegate client service needs to the support team, ensuring seamless client experiences.

- Investment Committee Participation: Engage in weekly investment committee meetings to stay informed on market trends and provide clients with informed investment advice.

- Business Development: Support business development initiatives by contributing thought leadership, building relationships with centers of influence, attending local association meetings, and leading client/prospect events.

- Professional Growth: Attend conferences for networking and professional development to remain at the forefront of financial planning best practices.

- Travel: Conduct semi-annual to quarterly travel to meet with remote clients, strengthening client relationships through in-person interactions.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Education: Undergraduate degree in a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of financial planning experience.

- Licensing: Active Series 65 license.

- Certifications: Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®) and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designations required for hire or within 18 months of hire.

- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear, compassionate manner.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop tailored financial strategies.

- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning software (MoneyGuide Pro preferred).

- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks effectively.

- Teamwork: Capable of working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
