Redbrick LMD is a vertically integrated real estate investment, management and development company, with a primary concentration in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The Senior Analyst / Associate, Finance and Investments will support the senior leadership of Redbrick LMD by creating and maintaining detailed financial models for the company's development pipeline, long-term strategic investments, leasing opportunities, and real estate funds (including traditional private equity partnerships and Opportunity Zone investment funds).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Creation of financial and feasibility analysis for all phases of property investment, financing, development, and fundraising
Maintenance and enhancement of real estate development and investment financial models, providing coaching and constructive feedback to analysts
Sourcing project-level and market-level assumptions for pro forma models; working closely with internal and external sources to ensure assumptions are consistent with market conditions
Construction and maintenance of portfolio roll-up and fund models
Constructing detailed waterfall projections to forecast ROI and distributions to investors
Evaluating, underwriting and executing real estate acquisitions and dispositions
Developing investment memoranda and presenting to the team
Assisting with analysis to support capital strategy, including equity and debt capital raise activity from inception through close
Overseeing the preparation of ad hoc partner-level reports and analyses
Supporting the Capital Markets team in structuring fund capital raises and preparing analyses for investors and investment partners
Continually evaluating assumptions, materials, team member performance, and workflow with an eye toward improving functionality, format, and overall productivity
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Ability to critically analyze and communicate the fiscal aspects of a commercial real estate asset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Proven experience in Excel-based financial modeling and strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to support underwriting assumptions
Comfortable working within a team setting and providing oversight to analysts
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (concentration in finance or business administration is desirable)
3+ years of relevant acquisitions, development, investment banking, and/or underwriting experience
Proven organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Experience using PowerPoint, Yardi, and market research platforms
Experience interacting with the brokerage and market research communities
An understanding of advanced financial concepts, common real estate acquisition and development return metrics, and multifamily and office investment fundamentals
