TXG is seeking a seasoned Experiential Designer with experience in live events, brand activations and environmental design. The ideal candidate will be capable of taking "big ideas" and translating them into a full experience and visual reality. The Experiential Designer will support design needs across the entire agency and will report to the Design Director. This position requires strong 3D and 2D design skills, creative vision, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Brooklyn, NY office and be available for in-person collaboration a minimum of 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Create compelling designs and visualizations of physical environments and experiential touchpoints through 3D and 2D design techniques.
Develop scaled floor plans, layouts, and consumer flows.
Create highly visual mood boards, color and material palettes.
Support furniture and decor sourcing direction and implementation.
Play an active role in the development of comprehensive creative decks and client presentations, ensuring creative excellence across all deliverables.
Ensure flawless execution of 3D design elements across projects, including floor plans, mock-ups, renderings, and sourcing.
Support event branding and graphic design deliverables as needed (e.g., signage, print graphics, collateral).
Participate in creative meetings, brainstorms, working sessions, and client meetings.
Communicate with vendors in collaboration with the production team throughout the production process.
Collaborate cross-functionally, working with freelance 2D & 3D Designers, Creative Strategists, Producers, and Client Services.
Ensure presented work is feasible within budget and timelines.
Create final mechanical files and specifications for fabrication.
Review and approve fabrication drawings or files.
Ability to oversee on-site installation, manage fabrication vendors, and lead on-site styling and propping.
Support in the creation of agency-wide marketing materials (e.g., website assets, social media, deck templates).
Develop specialty design briefs and directions for client and internal deliverables.
Qualifications:
Proven track record of owning the creative development of experiential projects with 5+ years of experience as an experiential designer
An understanding of event production with professional experience designing large-scale events, experiences, and/or live performances.
Ability to create visual representations of environments using a mix of mediums such as comps/mockups, Photoshop, SketchUp, etc.
3D modeling expertise is a must; Cinema 4D, 3dsMax, CAD, Maya, Sketchup or similar.
2D design experience including working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
Proficient in developing visually compelling presentations, design concepts, identities, floor plans, and graphics/visual assets.
Understanding of production budgets and ability to work creatively within budgets of all sizes.
Experience working in a client-facing role within a creative/design capacity.
Comfortable presenting and pitching work directly to clients.
Interest in leading on-site installations, working directly with/managing fabrication vendors, and overseeing on-site styling and propping.
Potential opportunities to manage an intern and/or oversee freelancers on projects.
Must be a self-starter, have diligent follow-through, have stellar people skills and thrive in a small, intimate work environment.
Must be within commuting distance of our DUMBO, Brooklyn office. We currently require a minimum of (2) days per week in person at the office
