The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting all aspects of successful construction projects within the office. This role requires a hands-on approach to manage budgets, schedules, and communications effectively while ensuring project goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and adherence to financial goals.
Request for Information (RFI) Management: Process RFIs efficiently, ensuring timely responses and clear communication with all stakeholders.
Submittals: Manage the submittal process, ensuring that all materials and plans are reviewed and approved promptly.
Scheduling: Create and maintain project schedules, coordinating timelines with team members and subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
Meeting Management: Prepare agendas for project meetings and document minutes, ensuring all action items are tracked and addressed.
Scope/Contract Management: Oversee contract execution and manage project scope, ensuring alignment with client expectations and contractual obligations.
Change Orders: Process and manage change orders, ensuring all adjustments are documented and communicated effectively.
Project Scope:
Manage projects ranging from 40 to 160 units, including ground-up constructions and rehabilitations.
Oversee projects with podium deck or slab on grade designs.
Project durations typically range from 12 to 24 months.
Contract values between $10 million and $60 million.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a assistant Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically in multi-family residential projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes and project management principles.
Proficient in Procore or similar project management software.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
