Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for the inventory control of all finished goods and ensuring inventory accuracy. In addition, the ideal candidate will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment. Administer all work yard operations and ensure compliance to safety policies. Maintain and implement yard organization plan for storage of product. Train staff to develop and achieve all work objectives and evaluate performance on a regular basis. Ensure proper handling of all materials and store it appropriately. Monitor loading of product to ensure safe transport to job sites. Monitor work of employees and initiate disciplinary as required.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain the yard in an orderly fashion.
Ensure all product is stored in correct location and dunnage is properly placed.
Work closely with the production team to determine items ready for delivery.
Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory and OPC items.
Assist in locating items in the yard.
Identify and report to management slow-moving inventory and obsolete material.
See to proper inventory to ensure customers' demands are met in the most efficient manner obtainable.
Work with cross-functional teams in the plant to ensure continuity and streamlined processes related to material handling, inventory control, and valid documentation.
Operating Forklift as needed.
Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
Coordinate daily delivery schedules with Dispatch based on sale's request for product and product availability.
Assist Dispatch with checking loads for accuracy and signing off on delivery receipts.
Verify all loads are loaded and dunnage is properly placed.
Job Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in a related industry preferred.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Inventory control experience.
Forklift experience preferred.
AX/SAP experience preferred.
Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day.
