Types of Projects We Pursue
At IAC/Adelphi Construction, we focus on a diverse range of projects within various industries. Our expertise includes cement plants and terminals, turnkey plant construction, equipment installation, and both mechanical and electrical services, along with field labor services. We also pursue opportunities in lime, steel, mining, and minerals, as well as smelting operations, including both primary and secondary smelting. Our capabilities extend to foundries and frac sand projects, carbon black production, and lead/battery applications.
In the food and agriculture sector, we handle projects related to food processing, pet food production, and grain handling. Our work in petrochemical and power generation encompasses ethanol, plastics, wood pellets, biomass power, hemp, and alternative fuel applications. We specialize in environmental control systems such as DSI for controlling SOx, NOx, and HCl emissions, as well as BPAC for mercury control.
Additionally, we manage material handling and storage solutions, which include baghouses, bin vents, filter receivers, cyclones, hoppers, ductwork (both round and square), and support structures, including trusses and stairways. Our expertise in this area also covers miscellaneous steel fabrication, rotary dryers, structural steel, and material handling conveying systems, as well as welded tanks up to 14 feet in diameter.
We are committed to air pollution control (APC) systems, offering thermal oxidizers, pneumatic conveying systems, dry material transfer systems, bulk storage solutions, silos, loadouts, ductwork, supports, and stacks, along with gas stream conditioning and DSI systems. Our team is equipped to manage alloy additive systems, MCC and automated controls, and remote monitoring of equipment to ensure high standards of efficiency and compliance in all projects we undertake.

Client Relations & Stakeholder Management
Client Engagement: Serve as the key point of contact for major clients during the estimating phase, ensuring clear communication of project scopes and expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships that foster trust and collaboration.
Vendor & Subcontractor Relationships: Establish and maintain partnerships with key vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality services. Negotiate terms to optimize project costs and timelines.
Team Development & Mentorship

Project Management Support
Pre-Construction Oversight: Facilitate kickoff meetings and ensure seamless transitions from estimating to project execution. Collaborate with project management to ensure successful project delivery.
Change Order Management: Assist project managers in estimating change orders, ensuring timely and accurate pricing of additional scopes of work.
What You'll Bring
Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience in estimating within the construction industry, with a proven track record of leading successful estimation efforts for complex industrial projects.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CEP, PMP) are strongly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and construction management tools, as well as a strong command of MS Office (especially Excel) and project management software.
Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams while building collaborative relationships across the organization.
Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions that impact project success.
Requirements
15+ years of experience in project management and/or construction management
Ability to read design drawings, structural drawings, and plan sets
Fast-track building construction experience is a plus
Experience in heavy industrial construction preferred
Experience managing budgets for large construction projects
Basic understanding of contracts and entitlements
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
AutoCAD, Inventor, and Viewpoint Spectrum experience is a plus
Familiarity with Dust Collection Equipment (Baghouses, Cyclones, Ductwork, etc.), Bulk Material Handling Equipment, Dryers, Piping, Conveyor Systems, and Structural Steel is a major plus
Proficiency with MS Office Suite products.
Required Travel: Willingness to travel to jobsites as required. Travel expectations 10-20%
