From intimate networking mixers to large-scale party productions, our dynamic events create a vibrant forum for meaningful connections between founders, investors, service providers, and the venture community at large. Home to hundreds of startups throughout the course of a year including all of our startup programs and accelerators, LvlUp Labs will be the go-to startup community hub in Southern California.
Role Description
The role for LvlUp Labs Community Intern involves executing and collaborating on bringing our vision from 0 to 1. You will have the unique opportunity to leave an indelible mark on the startup landscape by supporting the opening of our space. You'll be part of an internship cohort. If you know of any other qualified individuals, please feel free to refer them and help build the team around you.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting founders as a guide within the space to connect them with other people and resources within our and your own vast networks
Sourcing leads and managing ongoing corporate and collegiate partnerships to bring key resources into the LvlUp Labs lineup of offerings
Assisting with external communications and marketing efforts, including photography, videography, copywriting, outreach, and social media
Coordinating with teams across the entire LvlUp Ventures venture ecosystem to set and achieve your goals and objectives while furthering the collective
Planning and executing on LvlUp Labs programming lineup, including community-building activities, major events, and educational series

Qualifications We're Looking For
Self-motivation and resourcefulness while knowing when to ask for specific help and support
Familiarity with and passion for the nationwide startup scene as well as in Southern California preferred
Strong networking, customer service, and sales-oriented/pitching skills
Ability to learn on the job is crucial
For creativity-centric roles, proficiency in these skills/applications is a plus: design, photography, videography, copywriting, social media asset creation, social media engagement, Figma, Canva, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects), Webflow
For outreach-centric roles, proficiency in these skills/applications is a plus: email campaign management, messaging optimization, market research, copywriting, LinkedIn engagement, Airtable, Excel/Sheets
A mix of both is a huge plus
Experience in startup ecosystems, venture capital, or as a founder is preferred
Ability to be in-person at our El Segundo campus mandatory (exact hours negotiable)
