The primary role of the Analyst is to work closely with our portfolio manager and Investment Committee to provide investment management services to our clients. This individual is responsible for trading and rebalancing investment accounts. They are responsible for execution of the intended strategy directed by the financial advisor-all trading, distribution requests, tax harvesting reviews, opportunistic rebalancing, and cash investment needs.
An Investment Analyst must understand client goals and objectives while working closely with the portfolio manager and financial advisor. A successful Analyst will monitor assigned accounts and excel at performing all job duties as described below. The Investment Analyst is expected to stay abreast of market and economic events and the current opinions and projections of our Investment Committee.
This role is designed to provide the relevant learning, experience, and training to become a Portfolio Manager, Chief Investment Officer, and Partner of EverPar. The starting salary of this role is $75,000 - $125,000 plus bonus and benefits.
Responsibilities: • Monitors analytical tools and reports to provide critical information for short-term cash and liquidity management. • Continuously monitors, analyzes, and forecasts cash flows and investment projections. • Responsible for all trades, CRM trading requests, and management to the strategy intended. • Setup new client accounts in portfolio management software and implement strategy. • Perform manual reviews for investing opportunities and document according to compliance procedures. • Perform daily reviews for available cash to invest from daily deposit reports . • Perform daily reviews for risk issues as assigned. • Implement changes to trading. • Manage client accounts with periodic reviews for: tax harvesting, opportunistic rebalancing, cash investment needs, cash generation and distribution needs, etc. • Generates queries for management that: model scenarios to support client's investment analysis and summarize the investment department activity and changes to the portfolio. • Engages with other departments to support operational effectiveness of the company; provide support in areas such as workflow efficiency, compliance, reporting, etc. • Communicate with investment management team and financial advisors to explain portfolio positioning and answer questions. • Develop one-time recommendations for outside accounts. • Assists portfolio manager in creating and updating investment policies and procedures, as needed. • Works closely with the operations manager to support client service efficiencies and the client experience.
Skills and knowledge requirements: • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening). • Proficient with Microsoft suite of applications. • Understanding of the financial markets and basic investment management knowledge. • Displays initiative and willingness to learn. • Continuously demonstrates personal integrity, honesty and can deal with confidential information. • Ability to deal with high stress situations. • Excellent time management and strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems.
Experience and education requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; CFA or working towards CFA preferred.
Basic understanding of financial markets, instruments, and investment strategies.
Internships or practical experience in finance or trading environments.
Proficiency in using trading platforms and financial analysis tools.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail.
