The Herald-Standard in Uniontown is seeking a talented sports reporter with a keen news sense and the ability to develop sources and produce interesting stories. The ideal candidate will understand trends, and react to them through various storytelling methods. If you can only write games stories, this is not the job for you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter who writes clear, concise and accurate stories, and has the ability to translate sports statistics into readable copy. The right candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines, generate story ideas, juggle multiple projects and use social media. Photography and videography experience is a plus. Coverage of night and weekend events required.
