Title: Intake Specialist, Clerk - Paragon Healthcare



Location: 3033 W President George Bush Hwy, Ste 100. Plano, TX 75075


Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of the relevant Elevance Health location.



Shift: Onsite, Monday - Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm

The Intake Specialist, Clerk is responsible for providing support through making and receiving phone calls to exchange information to accomplish tasks, organizing, and maintaining files, records and lists and handling mail.



How you will make an impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Types letters, forms and other documents as directed using word processing and spreadsheet software.
  
  


• Checks documents for accuracy and completeness, and cross-reference information.
  
  


• Process forms and documents.
  
  


• Maintains supply inventories.
  
  


• Propels referrals to ensure timely completion and patient service.
  
  


• Monitors workflow and may assign work to staff as appropriate.
  
  


• Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments and makes significant contributions to work team.
  
  


• Communicates with patient/caregiver all applicable information regarding therapy and
  financial arrangements.
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a HS diploma or GED and a minimum of 5+ years of clerical experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  
  


• Knowledge in all areas of clerical/administrative functions, and customer service.
  
  


• Working knowledge of the various operations of the organization, products, and services.
  
  


• Working knowledge of office software such as Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
  
  

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Understanding of Medicare preferred
  
  


• Knowledge for medical insurance preferred
  
  


• Pharmacy benefit managers preferred
