Summary of Position:  

The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods, inventory control, and overall warehouse organization. The Warehouse Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining a smooth workflow and contributing to the success of our logistics and supply chain operations.

Essential Functions:



  • Inventory Management:


    • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.

    • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.

    • Implement and follow inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies.




  • Order Fulfillment:

    • Process and fulfill customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.

    • Coordinate with other departments to meet customer demands.




  • Shipping and Receiving:

    • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy.

    • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging materials.

    • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.




  • Quality Control:

    • Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.

    • Report and document any discrepancies or damaged goods.

    • Implement and maintain quality control processes.




  • Warehouse Organization:

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

    • Optimize warehouse space utilization to ensure efficient storage.

    • Ensure proper placement of products, labeling, and signage.




  • Equipment Operation:

    • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

    • Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any issues.




  • Communication:

    • Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve overall efficiency.

    • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and other external partners.

    • Report any issues or concerns to the Warehouse Manager.



Qualifications

Education Required: High School Diploma/GED                                          

Certification(s):

Forklift certification required.

DOT49 CFR & IATA shipping certification preferred.

Computer Skills Required:

Intermediate computer skills for data entry and use of inventory management systems.

Microsoft Office Suite Experience Preferred

ERP experience required, SAP/Batchmaster experience preferred.

Experience with XCarrier a plus.

Other qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment required.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, safely.

Prior experience with hazmat handling/shipping/storage is preferred.

Proficiency in shipping software and systems.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to take on multiple tasks with high levels of complexity and drive them to completion daily.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to lift and move heavy items, as required.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
