Responsibilities

Scope of Role Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage voice solutions for Microsoft Teams Calling and Cisco Unified Communication platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice services with other enterprise systems.
• Provide technical and customer-focused leadership in voice network planning, design, and optimization.
• Conduct system performance analysis and develop strategies for improvement.
• Change Management approval SME
• Performs in depth analysis of system performance data
• Troubleshoot complex voice network issues and provide resolutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to voice network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

Qualifications

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proficiency with Cisco UC applications, including:
• Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, and other core Cisco UC components
• Cisco client UC applications, i.e. Jabber
• Working knowledge of various SBCs:
  • Including SIP Trunking with Service Providers
• Hands on experience on Cisco CUBE on both ISR and ASR platforms
• Understanding of PSTN routing
• Working knowledge of Cisco IOS as it pertains to Cisco routing and switching products – CCNA level understanding or better
• Excellent knowledge of SIP and MGCP signaling and call-flows
• Sound understanding of Cisco Call Routing Fundamentals
• Complete gateway configuration and support (including 911)
• Familiarity with VMWare products and virtualization
