The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all internal and external frozen warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products in a manner consistent with service objectives. The Warehouse Manager will foster a team environment that focuses on serving the customer, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, while driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and engagement.

Warehousing operation and 3rd Party Logistics management knowledge and experience is important, but the ideal candidate will also possess a proven track record of strong customer service and the ability to engage, develop, and inspire teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee daily operations including:
Safety, quality, and productivity
Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement
Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization and shipping methods
Oversee all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, and managing returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met
Develop and lead a high performing Warehouse Leadership Team to actively engage frozen warehouse employees. Manage direct reports through clear expectation-setting and consistent, formal, and informal communication and feedback
Manage network frozen inventory needs through VDF storage space and by managing relationships with 3PL frozen warehouses within the network
Identify and negotiate new frozen storage 3PL providers as needed.
Maintain our rigorous Standard Operating Procedures for proper receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of inventory
Ensure that inventory is accurate and organized with consistent and accurate ERP transactions and adherence to the cycle count process
Champion Lean principles to ensure use of data to ensure problems are being effectively solved or escalated, and team is actively identifying and pursuing continuous improvement
Meet regularly with warehouse personnel to analyze productivity
Hire, retain and develop employees
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed. Work with the WH Safety Coordinator to continually improve safety awareness, behaviors, and conditions
Design and implement staffing strategies to ensure work force is efficient and flexible and can respond to variations in workflow while meeting daily, weekly, monthly needs
Ensure the company's physical assets (building, material handling equipment, inventory, etc.) are properly maintained, protected, and utilized
Ensure all records and reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained
Create, maintain and communicate metrics and standards in accordance with facility and corporate goals
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
Coordinate the disposition of the undeliverable freight, damage, and shortage discrepancies
Ensure proper food safety practices are maintained
Support employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development. Identify and support training and development opportunities
Work closely with HR Business Partner to maintain an engaging atmosphere and address/escalate personnel issues
Other duties as requested
JOB EXPERIENCE :
5+ years supervisory and warehouse management experience
Experience within ERP, TMS (Transportation Management System) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) systems
Experience with 3PL management
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Management/Leadership skills.
Developed listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Organizational and detail skills.
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Must be a problem-solver who demonstrates good judgement.
Familiarity with the use of Lean principles.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Scanners, Desktop computers
Driver's license required.
Ability to read/write/speak English.
Forklift certified.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED
Associate/bachelor's degree preferred

Occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds
The working environment could range between frozen and ambient temperatures.
