Position Summary — The Cage Cashier is responsible for cashing vouchers, checks, change, chips and tracking all MTL-MIL transactions.
Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Performs money transactions such as cashing tickets, currency for currency or redemption of chips/tokens.
Efficiently handles large volumes of cash.
Develops, applies, and maintains a friendly rapport with customers and staff.
Informs customers about daily promotions.
Keeps work area clean and supplies stocked.
Responsible for following Title 31 reporting requirements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. with cash handling and customer service experience required.
10-Key experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multitask and work as part of the team.
Ability to communicate clearly, ability to read, comprehend, and interpret written and oral instructions.
Ability to interact effectively with the public and Team Members.
Ability to count back change accurately and efficiently.
Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements — Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time; stoop, bend, twist and lift up to 35 pounds regularly; have good dexterity and grip.
Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.
Special Working Conditions — This position requires the flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work under pressure.
