Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. Lab Technician I Location: Medford, OR Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician I to join our team! The primary focus of the Lab Technician role is to analyze products from packages and/or processes and certify individual critical contaminant levels as specified within customer specifications. The Lab Technician shall operate different analytical instruments to achieve this goal. What we offer you! - Competitive compensation - Comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision and more) - 401(k) retirement savings plan - Paid time off (vacation, holidays, PTO) - Employee discount programs - Career growth opportunities What you will be doing:(3rd shift) - The successful individual MUST be willing and able to work in a highly structured work environment with regard to safe and consistent conformance to operating procedures and work practices - Must be able to work independently and make decisions based on analytical results - Ensure timely throughput of product through lab work queue - Comprehensive familiarity with the Lab Scope and all associated lab documentation and procedures - Operate required analytical instrumentation (ICP-MS, GC's, FTIR's, process analyzers, standard blenders, etc) - Report problems with analytical instrumentation and assist in subsequent repair(s) - Accurately input and document analytical data into all necessary analytical and plant process logs - Conforms to ISO 9001:2008 directives included but not limited to policy and procedures. Strictly adhere to all necessary calibration requirements within all lab operations - Through observation of work area(s), is alert to and avoid unsafe behaviors and conditions or other hazards. Reports any observed hazards to supervisor. Strictly adheres to all safety policies including, but not limited to HWP, ECP, and LOTO policies - Ensure compliance with the formalized written PPE program for all laboratory activities - Participate in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives of analytical process systems - Support investigate of production defects and assist Quality Team in control of Non-conforming material - Other duties as assigned What makes you great: - Fit to perform duties where respirators are required - Associates Degree in a technical field. - Experience in laboratory operations within a production plant environment in a quality assurance function preferred - The ability to support the department towards defined production and quality goals as well as an accelerated continuous improvement program - Computer literacy and Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP - Ability to plan and carry out laboratory schedules independently Why you will enjoy working with us: Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2023 sales of $33 billion.
