The Assembly Producer will operate a press or assemble parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a press, filling machine, or conveyor line. Position is responsible for both accurately and thoroughly completing and maintaining all daily paperwork associated with the assembly process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to rotate and attain proficiency at a number of various work stations
Ability to read gauges and record findings
Ability to measure sizes of parts in millimeters
Ability to use a computer, especially SAP, OEE and label programs.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high quality orientation
Move product, material, and/or equipment to and from designated areas
Maintain clean, organized, safe working environment with equipment and materials located in proper locations in accordance with 5S standards inside and outside of facility
Safely and efficiently operate all machinery
Ability to work all designated shifts
Excellent attendance record
Ability to work in a team environment
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
12 months of related experience required
Must be fluent in English. Able to read/write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to use a hand held calculator to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
The employee will be required to stand for long periods of time and use upper body regularly to required reach; lift up to 35 lbs. on a repetitive basis and to stoop, kneel, sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to work additional hours and/or additional days during the payroll week, which can and will be in excess of forty (40) hours per payroll week. Working overtime is a condition of employment.
Must be able to work prolonged periods under high heat and humid conditions inside the facility; and occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
