What You'll Be Doing:
Ensures forklift equipment is in good working order. Helps others expedite tasks within the department.
Forklift Mechanic Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance for all forklifts
Conducts initial check of the equipment complaints to determine what works and any parts that are needed.
Troubleshoots equipment.
Replaces parts or makes adjustments to equipment.
Orders and replenishes parts
Maintains a working knowledge of materials, systems and code requirements related to forklifts
Responds to emergencies and closures including adverse weather to be certain that all facilities are protected and remain operational
Maintains appropriate records and reporting
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements for Consideration:
High School Diploma or relevant experience
Ability to work well with others in a respectful and diplomatic way, adhering to company values
Knowledgeable on forklift maintenance and repair
Ability to lift 50 lbs. stooping, bending, walking
Ability to follow the safety rules and regulations as warranted by OSHA
Ability to withstand warehouse settings (varying temperatures)
Must be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
