The Chief Business Officer oversees business operations across State Street Global Technology Services (GTS), and thus this organization is integral to the overall success of the firm. Working directly for the Chief Business Officer, this role will have responsibility for driving the overall strategic planning process. The role will offer strategic insights to the GTS CIO, facilitate communication with senior technology leadership and drive key strategic initiatives within the overall portfolio.
What you will be responsible for
The ideal candidate will have a combination of both technical and operational understanding:
Drives the development of the business unit strategy on both a multi-year and periodic basis in support of the company's individual business unit's long-term strategic plans including those related to products and services
Assess technology portfolio - design and drive an execution framework to assess strategic progress against our 3 year plan, including setting operational objectives (OKRs) and tracking performance to identify risks to plan
Define, articulate and help enforce a standard operating model of developing strategy across the various functional units within GTS
Providing analytical insights to the GTS Leadership on a regular basis on the health of execution against the defined strategy
Partner closely with most senior executives in GTS to develop the plans to deliver the most critical strategic initiatives
Collaborate with senior management team to improve articulation and communication of our strategic plans with the wider stakeholder areas both external and internal to technology
Driving engagement with State Street COO function to ensure alignment on Technology and Operations strategic vision
Serving as a Subject Matter Expert and thought leader on strategic plan updates and formal communication on the progress of its execution

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor degree strongly preferred
Minimum of 10+ years of related experience within the financial services industry including time spent managing in an executive capacity
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in driving and shaping business strategies, with an understanding of the challenges of running large transformation change
Consulting experience within IT preferred
Proven people leadership skills and executive presence, comfort in interacting with senior executives on a frequent basis
Understanding of the current regulatory landscape and emerging technology themes is strongly preferred
Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office suite of applications
Salary Range: $170,000 - $267,500 Annual
