Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma the Package and Production Planning Supervisor drives the activities of the planning group to achieve targeted service and inventory levels while controlling operational costs and managing capacity. The Supervisor is responsible for meeting established objectives, supporting employees in planning, and acting as a technical resource, business leader, and mentor.
This position will be based in Milwaukee, WI and will report to the Head of Production Planning. Critical to the success in this position will be the management of inventory performance and customer service objectives for your area. This position is charged with eliminating shortages, achieving service level and inventory goals to support Corporate Goals.
This position is accountable for the following end results:
Develop operational strategies and processes to meet service objectives and sales growth targets
Reduce operational capacity constraints and maximize site utilization targets
Lead process improvement initiatives that support the above
Develop a deep knowledge of the operational areas in regard to capabilities and constraints
Help drive process improvements in both planning and physical practices
Prepare departmental metrics for throughput and backlogs and impacts of backlogs on service and backorder targets
Run the monthly packaging operations meeting with key stake holders
Work with operations on short and long term capacity constraints, including head count and facility expansions
Who You Are:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or other Business field
3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
Preferred Requirements:
2+ years of planning experience
SAP Experience in planning, purchasing and sales & distribution
Proven ability to develop, implement and work with complex planning and forecasting systems
Exceptional skills in all Planning processes, Finite Scheduling and Purchase Planning
Proven experience in process improvement leadership
Proven ability to develop Planning Strategies and implement them in a complex global, technical, matrixed environment
Good leadership, change management, interpersonal and communication skills
Deep knowledge of Process Improvement
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to teach other these techniques
APICS certification such as CPIM and/or CSCP
