Your Role:
EMD Electronics in San Jose, CA is seeking a Materials Planning Specialist. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be supporting cross-functionally across EMD Electronics Operations.
This position includes managing resources and processes required to optimally plan, procure, store, and distribute materials, as well as optimizing stock levels, coordinating with suppliers, and implementing controls to enhance efficiency. Additionally, the Specialist will analyze performance indicators and results to identify and propose continuous improvement projects, as well as support monthly and quarterly activities.
Responsibilities:
Manage demand and supply planning of inventory, raw materials and finished goods through entire product life cycle, NPI to Obsolescence
Create and maintain Master Production Schedule to meet on time deliveries and key performance indicators
Work to resolve material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions
Maintain and monitor spares and WIP. Complete disposition of excess and obsolete materials on a regular basis.
Manage MRB and RMA process with timely resolution and set corrective and preventive process in place
Coordinate with the engineering team to proactively identify critical issues, track design changes and obsolescence. Ensure bill of materials (BOM) is ready for production fulfillment and spares.
Actively engage and collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to maintain an effective relationship driving quality, cost and service levels
Develop standards and controls and drive improvements for ERP system, tracking and quality systems
Drive and support warehouse optimization maximizing space and utilization
Prepare monthly financial close reports including CIP and Inventory status, Capitalization updates, and other metrics tracked
Collaborate with global supports teams, IT, Procurement, Finance, to implement changes
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any Business or Engineering field with 3+ years of experience in materials planning
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Semiconductor tools and/or equipment
Knowledge in manufacturing, planning processes, inventory analysis, forecast/demand
Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
Enthusiastic self-starter with a strong drive to improve existing process and systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform in-depth data analysis
Pay Range for this position - $49,500 - $148,900
