Your Role:
The HVAC Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for supporting the site, supervisor, and leadership team in timely execution of preventive maintenance, proactive and reactive workorders, and creating documentation records in physical and virtual forms. The Technician will work independently and in a safe manner to ensure continuity and site operations. Several of the essential job functions and responsibilities are:
Perform maintenance activities on process equipment and all plant HVAC systems
Maintain, clean and repair HVAC systems and equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
Read and understand blueprints and schematics
Identify maintenance risks and follow safety protocols
Refrigeration repair to include industrial chillers and refrigeration systems
Perform a variety of equipment installations, maintenance, and repair work on assigned plant production equipment, buildings, facilities, and grounds
Perform carpentry, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, painting, and mechanical work on equipment, buildings, and facilities
Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Follow all ISO procedures and work instructions
Maintain required records, logs, and other data associated with equipment repair and maintenance
Organize and maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with the administrative General Housekeeping practices/procedures
Follow general personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements as established by company policy
Perform all functions in a safe and timely manner in accordance with OSHA standards and general rules and regulations governing the workplace
Install and repair basic electrical systems in accordance to recognized standards
Complete necessary permitting in accordance with site procedures and policies
Develop or assist in the implementation of process improvement, safety, quality and 5S ideas
Attend appropriate meetings and training in-services
This is a day shift position Tuesday - Friday 6am-4:30pm (must participate in a rotating on call schedule as needed)
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience in HVAC or other industrial mechanical field
Preferred Qualifications:
HVAC Tradesman certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Self-starter
