Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $189,375.00 - $225,625.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to lead and oversee all sales and account management activities in the Texas, Oklahoma, and Wichita, Kansas markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of treasury management.
Essential Functions
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of treasury management sales professionals to achieve sales targets and objectives. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a high-performance culture. Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth.
Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required
Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members effectively
Support budget management, planning and expenditure
Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing customers. Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to achieve market penetration and revenue goals. Collaborate with commercial bank and payments partners to identify cross-selling opportunities and enhance product offerings.
Oversee account management activities to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Monitor and analyze customer needs, providing tailored solutions to meet their treasury management requirements.
Work closely with market leaders across the commercial bank and payments partners to align strategies and drive results. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of treasury management solutions. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.
Develop and implement retention strategies to safeguard existing revenue streams. Proactively address customer concerns and issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Monitor account performance and take corrective actions as needed to maintain strong client relationships.
Strategic alignment with market activities as well as with Commercial Payment partners to drive new relationships to the bank while retaining and enhancing current relationships
Act as primary coordinator of Commercial Payment activities for market strategies including the creation and continuing evolution of the market plan
Work closely with regional leaders in the bank, ensuring effective communication across and within teams; aligning Treasury team members with specific markets, teams and RMs and the creation of strategic account plans for key prospects and customers
Partner with leaders across Treasury Management, Commercial Payments, Product and support organizations to ensure alignment and focus on customer success
Utilize Insight360 automation tools and enforce the use of these tools with team members for pipelines, tracking and lead development
Join TMOs in direct calling efforts where needed, especially for key prospects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Strong understanding of treasury management solutions, commercial banking products, and payment systems
Knowledge of regional market dynamics and business environment similar preferred
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve common goals
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to travel within the assigned markets (Texas, Oklahoma, and Wichita, Kansas)
Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems
Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business
Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing

Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree in Business preferred.
7+ years of experience in treasury management sales or related financial services required
3+ years leadership/supervisory experience required
Proven track record of successfully leading and coaching sales teams to achieve and exceed targets required
Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or similar preferred
Experience with CRM systems and sales performance analytics tools similar preferred
