Epsilon Systems Solutions Inc. has a current opening for a full-time Project Manager I in National City, CA.
Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day project manager duties for a ship repair or modernization project. The projects will be primarily Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical system projects. The term ship, as used here, includes craft, boats, submarines, surface ships, and aircraft carriers, commissioned US Navy and Coast Guard ships, decommissioned or decommissioning ships, MSC, foreign military, and commercial ships. Projects may also include non-ship related projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages project to ensure work scope, schedule, quality and budget objectives are met.
Establishes and maintains an excellent working relationship with our project customers.
Ensures our QMS, SOPs, and SWPs relating to assigned projects are complied with.
Ensures project teams comply with all published and directed health, safety, environmental, and worksite cleanliness requirements.
Takes the lead in developing a project POA&M which also serves as an outline of the production schedule.
Ensures purchase orders issued to subcontractors are IAW quotes and specified requirements.
Coordinates with QA to ensure the Test and Inspect Plan (TIP) is produced when necessary and coordinates with the trade foremen to ensure the TIP is executed fully and timely.
Schedules and oversees check points ensuring that preliminary checks are accomplished and all documentation is complete and timely.
Coordinates with resource providers to staff the team with the correct skills at the correct times within the project schedule.
Coordinates with the trade foremen and WFOs Manger (as needed) to define the following day's activities and to communicate the plan to the production team.
Responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the WFOs Manager and customer.
Keeps POA&M/Production Schedule updated with weekly status.
Ensures subcontractors comply with all contract provisions including adherence to schedule.
Monitors material ordering and receipt status to ensure the project schedule is not impacted.
Provides project oversight and ensures all requisite documentation is completely and accurately filled in and turned into the customer on time, including; as found condition reports, IDRs, CFRs, COPAs, LARS, CDRLs, etc.
Alerts management any time scope, schedule, quality, or cost objectives are becoming jeopardized.
Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
Attends and represents Epsilon at customer's production meetings and provides the attendees with the project status.
Attends SWIS production meetings and provides the project status alerting the presiding manager of scope, schedule, quality, or cost objectives.
May conduct performance/project analyses or lessons learned meeting during phase-down to benefit future projects.
Communicates with private sector and government program level senior management relative to large projects.
Communicates orally and in writing with all levels of customer representatives, sub-contractors, and vendors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors' Degree with emphasis in Project Management, Business, Engineering, but equivalent experience can be substituted.
Has minimum 2 years of Project Management Experience.
Has a minimum of 5 years professional experience in the depot level ship repair and modernization industry.
Fully versed in NAVSEA Standard Items, 4E specifications, NSTMs, and Navy equipment technical manuals.
Ability to obtain and maintain access to military and government installations and private shipyards.
Must be able to identify the critical path and manage the subordinate activities to achieve on time project completion.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $79,040 To $101,920 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Work may be performed in confined spaces, noisy environments, heavy industrial conditions, high traffic areas, office environment, meeting rooms and multiple locations; also, in outside conditions ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.
