Location: South Region (Community Physicians Group, Cooley Dickinson Medical Group, iCare Burlington and Watertown, Newton Wellesley Medical Group, Harbor Medical Associates)



Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (Hybrid, with frequent travel)


The Opportunity:




The role of Materials Manager at Mass General Brigham Medical Group offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the efficient and effective support of our supply chain operations across the South Region. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance Operations and Support Services, you'll have a chance to make an impact by working closely with departments and physician groups, ensuring our teams can deliver exceptional care through well-managed resources. This role thrives on operational excellence, adaptability, and the drive to continuously improve processes for the benefit of our teams and patients.


Your responsibilities as the Materials Manager will include:





  • Core Supply Chain Management: Supporting purchasing, inventory control, product research, contracting, product recalls and backorder management, while facilitating product trials and collaborating with vendors and clinical staff on evaluations and improvements.


  • Operational Leadership: Engaging in daily logistics, ensuring productivity, and supporting team development. You'll also serve as a resource expert and help maintain continuity when materials or administrative staff are away.


  • Collaborative Teamwork: Building connections across departments, including Nursing, Imaging, Pharmacy, and Physician Clinics, to reinforce strong partnerships and the continuous improvement of our supply chain processes.


  • Budget & Compliance: Assisting with budget development, tracking expenditures, and promoting adherence to compliance standards, all while keeping policies current and supporting our mission and values.


  • Process Improvements: Joining key committees and special task forces to enhance emergency preparedness, infection control, and safety protocols. Actively contribute to improvements that drive effectiveness and innovation.






Qualifications


Qualifications





Experience/Education:



  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive healthcare experience; at least 3 years at a management level.

  • Proven expertise in materials management, contracting, and vendor relationships.



Technical & Analytical Skills:




  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint); PeopleSoft and Workday preferred.



Preferred Qualification:




  • Bachelor's Degree
