Business Process & Project Engineer

Orlando, FL (Onsite)

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Business Processes and Projects Engineer, responsible to perform data and processes analyses, identify and analyze business areas that can be improved to increase operational efficiency and strengthen business processes. You will define, implement and maintain business processes to meet business objectives. Responsible to find common ground to converge towards worldwide-harmonized process between the three regions. You will have to deploy and monitor the good adherence of those processes and tools with the prime users.

In this position you will also be responsible to deliver the Digital Tools in the AGS Americas as per the worldwide and Local roadmap. You will support the data extraction, collection and analyses for AGS Americas Operations, as needed, such as Costs Monitoring, TAT performance, Flows monitoring.

Key Areas of Responsibility


  • Processes Improvement: Work with stakeholders and users to identify business requirements, risks and opportunities, in order to define new improved processes; Evaluate current business processes and recommend solutions for improvement to enhance operational efficiency; Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature operations judgement in anticipating and solving different operations problems in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for making business processes more manageable, with formalized and actionable information; Transform and converge as needed into more efficient Worldwide business processes; Evaluates financial impact (costs, revenues, cash flow) based on process change.

  • Perform data and processes analyses / modeling using standard Lean tools (VSM, PDAIC, etc.).


  • Digital Transformation: Responsible to deploy Digital initiatives to AGS Americas Operations Department; Measure and report efficiency of such Digital initiatives deployment.

  • Actively participate into scoping phases of Digital tools new features. To either take the lead on worldwide scoping or represent AGS Americas interests; Act as a champion / Super user for Digital Tools in order to maximize user adoption and coverage.

  • Day to day supports Digital project and act as focal point for level 1 run support in Americas Region; Develop and recommend series of actionable KPIs to evaluate and monitor progress of initiatives & projects.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business with minimum of 5+ years of experience in relevant business processes improvement and projects focused on efficient management.

  • Exceptionally strong communications skills; ability to work with senior management and operations teams; Experience with training and coaching large audiences; Excellent people interfacing skills; Excellent problem solving skills.

  • Team player with strong leadership initiatives and personal commitment to achieving objectives; ability to successfully work with all levels of management internally, externally and cross culturally; Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Able to deliver against tight deadlines and handle multiple competing demands.

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.

Special Position Requirements



  • Schedule: Core Business Hours Monday-Friday; flexible work schedule maybe required during travel.


  • Physical Environment: General office environment.



  • Physical Demands: No special physical requirements.


  • Travel: International travel to customer locations or other Thales business units.  Anticipated travel as much as 20% annually.


  • Regulatory Compliance Requirements: None.
