The Director of Operation is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the field operations of Sunstar Paramedics.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall management of Operations and Scheduling on a day-to-day basis
Responsible for performance reviews, promotions, discipline, team building and hiring determination for assigned staff
Responsible for meeting or exceeding the operation's annual goals/objectives within given time frame and contributing to performance scorecard measures
Responsible for promoting high quality, effective patient care and patient engagement with measurable outcomes
Responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and security of employees and promoting employee satisfaction and engagement with measurable outcomes
Responsible for ensuring compliance with CAAS and CAMTS accreditation standards
Accessible and responsive to service requests and committed to service excellence including cooperating with other departments
Contributes to or ensures contract requirements are met while managing within budget parameters.
Support and implement the philosophies, objectives, Policy, Procedures and practices of Sunstar Paramedics
Responsible for system planning, both long term and short term, associated with assigned areas
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary data and other information and ensures ethical behavior throughout the organization
Responsible for ensuring that assigned departments are in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws (i.e. Pinellas County, ambulance service agreement, state and county regulations, HIPAA and OSHA).
Active involvement in associations, meetings, events, and learning opportunities related to position and EMS
Establish and maintain on-going positive relationships with community members, local government officials, first responder agencies, hospital administrative personnel and other stakeholders as appropriate and enhance the company standing in the community and industry
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum five years experience as a paramedic
Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities
Effective communication and human relations skills; basic computer skills
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and directly-related experience
Minimum five (5) years experience as an EMS Manager
Must live in or be willing to relocate to Pinellas County Florida
Must be able to pass CJIS Level II Background Screening

Live within 10 miles from 12490 Ulmerton Road, Largo
Knowledge in Federal, State, and Local statutes
Master's degree in Business or Health Care Administration
