This position will act as a strategic partner within the Brunner business units with experience in other BWE BU's as well. This will entail month-end financial closing, cost analysis, fixed asset accountability, plant capital investments, and plant team support.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000
Essential Functions:
Support Brunner Medina facility as well as the Niagara facility supporting Finance Management in all aspects of business
Perform month-end financial close. Record manufacturing expenses, depreciation, taxes, and other overhead expenses through journal entries
Provide manufacturing cost and variance analysis for Brunner Medina as well as Niagara
Understand monthly financial results and key operating metrics, communicating these results to the Management Staff
Produce daily, weekly, monthly reports for the Plant Manager and Brunner General Manager as well as other reporting for BWE entities as requested
Ensure adequate internal controls exist and are utilized at the plant.
Identify areas of weakness and assists local management in implementing corrective action
Assist local management in identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities as well as quantifying those cost reductions
Support divisional requirements such as internal/external audits
Provide financial support for capital development projects from justification to approval to installation
Work with Management Team to develop standard costs, routers, and department burden rates and once developed maintain those standards
Assist in developing monthly forecasts and annual operating plan including analysis on future spend and working with teams to rationalize future spend for forecast and plan
Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for multiple entities
Maintain all fixed assets in the Fixed Asset System
Assist in tracking product margins, cost reductions and new product programs for Brunner
Analyze inventory variances/transactions, plus inventory control cycle count programs once implemented
Monitor cash flow
Control weekly payments of vendors by check and electronic payments
Review and code purchase orders to GL accounts
Review and approve applications for new credit arrangements
Monitors delinquent AR
Reports to Division HQ as needed
Position may supervise accounting employees and receptionist - would include interviewing, hiring and training employees as well as directing work and performance appraisals.

Education and Training:
BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum Qualifications:
3-8 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting, work at computer for extended periods of time.
Environmental Conditions:
Office setting.
Minimal exposure to R&D lab and manufacturing setting.
